Welcome! Making the decision to seek therapy is a wonderful act of self-care and I’m glad you’re here. I believe therapy can allow for individuals to experience healing and self-growth. I seek to establish a valuable and meaningful relationship with my clients that is open, warm, trusting, and supportive so that I may help you find your way through whatever is keeping you from peace and happiness. I work to help you achieve your therapeutic goals by enhancing awareness, promoting wellness, and teaching you practical coping skills to use in regaining control of your life, as well as help you work towards accepting those circumstances which may be beyond your control.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have been in the profession for three years, having received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. I enjoy working with adults and adolescents and have experience in individual and group therapy. I have counseled in private practice, outpatient, and inpatient mental health settings which has allowed me to experience a vast assortment of backgrounds in the individuals and presenting problems that I treat.

 

 I provide counseling for a wide range of concerns including family and relationship dynamics, anxiety and mood disturbances, identity exploration, difficult life transitions, and women’s issues.

I deeply value and respect individual diversity. Success in therapy is tremendously dependent on the quality and strength of the relationship between the client and their counselor, and I seek to build strong relationships with my clients where they feel safe to be their authentic self. I use various treatment modalities that allow me to personalize sessions to meet your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral, Emotion Focused, Solution Focused, and psychodynamic approaches. Through my integrative approach, I will help guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself so you may live wholly, gain meaning, and reach your full potential. I work towards helping you understand your patterns of thinking and behavior so you may feel less stuck, overwhelmed, and alone, allowing you to find feelings of peace and a sense of control over your life.
