When you need a change in your life, it can be a daunting and frightening task. "Where do I go?" "Who should I see?" "There are so many choices." "What do all these letters mean?"

I believe in being present with my clients.  Giving them the empathic and non-judgmental space that they need to be free, to verbally brainstorm about conundrums, life transitions, and process things going on around you.  Your mental health journey is important!  It requires respect and honor from who you choose to join you on that journey.  It takes courage from both you, the client, and your therapist to embark with you on this journey. Courage that requires openness, vulnerability, and direct engagement to create that change.  I am honored to walk alongside you in this journey together.

I enjoy working with families, couples, and individuals in need of change. My favorite part of being in the room is communication building in individual and family relationships; to discover and develop how a relationship can best communicate their needs with each other. When you work with me, I want you to leave sessions feeling empowered and able to take that first courageous step. And then the next step. And then the next step after that. To someday be able to fully function as who you want to be and be equipped with the mental health tools for your life beyond working with me.

I have obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. I have licensure in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  EMDR is a technique that uses the brain's natural processing abilities to come to a better, higher functioning place with trauma. I have expertise in processing trauma and crisis with a focus on bipolar, depression, anxiety, and schizoaffective.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my rescue pup.  Board games are definitely our jam!  I also love being goofy and making people laugh, so my sense of humor may be used at times when deemed appropriate in sessions.  Feel free to schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation with me!  I look forward to hearing from you!
