Hi there! Before we dive in, I want to acknowledge this brave step you’re taking. The decision to enter into therapy isn’t always an easy one. You’re welcome to come as you are and know that there will be no judgment here, just compassion and empathy.

Connecting with clients is such an integral part of the therapy journey. I utilize a person-centered approach. You might be thinking, “What does this even mean?” It’s just the psychologically fancy of saying I’m meeting you where you’re at and taking things at your own pace. I also operate from a strength-based approach and in doing so, work on harnessing the resilience that you have within yourself. We tend not to focus on how strong we are, especially when our brains battle against us. Therapy is a collaborative process, so we’ll work together to foster a safe space together, so you can explore joy, discomfort, and everything in between.

I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker under the supervision of Andrea Washington LCSW-S, CSAT, CDWF. I earned a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Tampa.

I’m very passionate about working with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, life transitions, substance use, and relationships. I have experience in individual therapy and group therapy and have worked in residential and outpatient settings

I’m originally from Connecticut and have found a love for Houston’s food.  That’s right, Houston has made a foodie!  Outside of therapy, you can find me at a dog park with my two pups (Princess and Bowie).  Don’t worry, they’ll be making a few appearances in our telehealth sessions together if you’re an animal lover.  My self-care time includes practicing yoga, tending to my plant babies, seeking out bubble tea, or cherishing calm moments at botanical garden spots.  I’m definitely looking forward to getting to know you, your teen, and your family.  Schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation with me, or if you feel we’d be a great fit, please reach out to schedule an appointment at hello@healingpathwayshouston.com.  See you soon!
