New clients for Fall 2024

Hi! I’m Sarah Epstein-Santana, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (#92976) ready to support you, your child, your teen, and family.  You wake up one morning.  You look around and somehow the life you’re living isn’t the life you imagined it would become.  Your child was sent home from school again because they hit their friend again.  Your partner isn’t sure how to help out anymore, and you’re not quite sure how to tell them what you need either.  When did life get so complicated?

Here’s where therapy can be helpful!  With over sixteen years of professional experience in education, I found my calling in Mental Health Counseling to help others navigate personal challenges.  This led me to pursue and obtain my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adler University in Chicago, graduating in 2022.  I’m currently an Associate Staff Therapist at Healing Pathways of Houston under the clinical supervision of Mallory Striesfeld, LPC-S (#73192), LMFT-Associate (#202439).

I offer counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a wide range of challenges.  This includes but is not limited to ADD/ADHD, play therapy, chronic illness, adolescent concerns, anxiety, women’s issues, school/conduct and behavioral concerns, working with parents, and coordinating with schools.

My theoretical orientation includes Integrative, Client-Centered Play Therapy for children, expressive arts therapy for adolescents, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for teens and adults.  This gives you and I the ability to use what aligns with you, your feelings, and thought process, in helping you meet your challenges and achieve your goals.

If you find that taking the first step towards change is challenging and intimidating, let’s face it together. Here’s what you can expect from me:  warmth and compassion, and a safe, judgment-free zone where you can comfortably work through your thoughts and feelings.

It’s possible for everyone to have a happy fulfilling life.  I know, I know, it may sound hoaky right now, so bear with me here until we start your therapy adventure. Seeking support takes courage, so I’m glad you are here!

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, trying new foods, cooking, going to shows, listening to music, and working out.  If you feel like we’re a good fit, please reach out to schedule a FREE 15-minute consultation today! I look forward to meeting with you!
